The gun needs some love and will be going back to a gunsmith after the match to take some length off the barrel and check headspace, but I've managed to achieve an improvement in dispersion through some judicious torquing of action screws which should see at least a minor improvement on my placing at P10 last month.
Spent some time zeroing and validating data ahead Spent some time zeroing and validating data ahead of the P10 Practical tomorrow, with some assistance from @tom_sims_nz.

@mizz_gunrack brought the boys over for some trigger time as well.

@visionprc set up is running very smoothly - looking forward to getting it out to it's first comp!
Finally knocked @mizz_gunrack off the podium of lo Finally knocked @mizz_gunrack off the podium of longest range deer kill in our household.

My 7mm PRC went down early with a loose scope base, but Graeme from @tlrs_nz was kind enough to let me use his gun for the day, which resulted in a solid shot at 681m on a fallow doe.

The 130gr ELD-M out of a 6.5 Creedmoor absolutely sacked it, and she dropped on the spot - very effective set up. I must admit I really enjoyed hunting with the Leupold Mk5... which has me thinking about adding a Mk4 to my collection...

The T1x comp gun is almost 100% in it's final form The T1x comp gun is almost 100% in it's final form, just waiting on a new scope mount and then the Send It level will get mounted.

The @visionprc Pro Chassis is a slick set up, and looks incredible (which always helps). Perfectly balanced with the heavy barrel from @trueflitenz and a set of internal weights, which means I can keep the exterior of the forend a bit cleaner.
A bit of tweaking on @mizz_gunrack CZ457 to get it A bit of tweaking on @mizz_gunrack CZ457 to get it under the 4.5kg weight limit for @sparc22_series Marksman class, while still allowing for some mags on the side of the gun, plus a bipod or sling
Thanks to JPB Furley there is a loaner gun availab Thanks to JPB Furley there is a loaner gun available at all @sparc22_series matches, featuring a ZeroTech scope on top of a Ruger 10/22, with bipod and suppressor.

This is a fantastic set up for Marksman class and new shooters wanting to give the sport a go.
Match conditions next weekend will be the driest w Match conditions next weekend will be the driest we've had at this property. Not great for farming, but short grass and dusty top soil means lots of feedback for shooters.

Pack lots of water, electrolytes, sunscreen, hat, etc.!

Competitor brief should be going out tomorrow evening

Some of the local crew are holding a club match this weekend at Waiuku - who else is getting some reps in ahead of the next round of the @sparc22_series?
