A couple fat freezer fillers down yesterday. Prepped for a day hunt, ended up being the most ridiculously gentlemanly hunting ever, spotting a young stag holding 15 or so hinds withing a couple hundred metres of the vehicle. Early start, up at 3am, but done and dusted and home for lunch!

Save the date, Steel Storm 2024 is coming up on 27 April, tickets on sale soon. Round 2 of the @sparc22_series, this one isn't far from Hamilton and Auckland.

We'll feature some of the best stages of the previous Steel Storm match, and I'll probably make some random props out of urban detritus, we'll see...

Two days of hard work, hot sun, dust and sweat. Al

Two days of hard work, hot sun, dust and sweat. Also, two days of great yarns, challenging stages, problem solving and hanging out with good mates. This sport is epic.

Practical Class was very competitive, and I am stoked to have taken out 2nd place. A well deserved win for @magdump_mark who was head and shoulders above the rest, with a full stage worth of points as a lead.

The Howa 7mm PRC is ready for @tlrs_nz Ahititi Long Range Challenge, but for some reason the trusty 6.5 Creed is not shooting as it should... perhaps a carbon ring? If it doesn't come right, I'll have to switch barreled actions but will stick with the ESS set up which I'm really enjoying
